Don't feel down on December 26th about the big holiday being over with ... it's just getting started! GLENDA has offered to help out at Chatham Baroque's Twelfth Night [count 'em!] celebration and fundraiser (http://www.chathambaroque.org/12thnight.html). Unfortunately, at this busy time of year they're a bit behind in getting us all the details, but while we await final word on duties, attire, and the number of volunteers they'd like, we want to get word out so our members can mark their calendars for what sounds like a fun and "classy" event ("... an evening of music, revelry, and competitive shopping!").
What: Chatham Baroque Twelfth Night
Where: Pittsburgh Golf Club in Squirrel Hill (Directions:
http://www.chathambaroque.org/map.html#golf)
When: Saturday, January 5, 2008, from 6:00 to 10:30 PM (Volunteer
times: 6:00 - 11:00 PM, just to provide a buffer)
Work: Were told we'll be helping to "check people in and out." (Who doesn't like to check people out?!) We're awaiting a more precise specification on what they'd like us to do, but as there will be a silent auction, we'll probably be helping with that. I'll update you on details as soon as I receive them.
Attire: Again, speculation on my part, but I'd guess something a little dressier than jeans. (The standby "black slacks, white shirt/blouse" is probably safe.)
Let me know if you are a "YES" or a "Maybe" for this event by reply email.
Thanks in advance,
