26 JAN 2008(Sat) Name Here 11:00am - 3:30pm

Want to help local seniors stay in their own homes safely?

Safety for Seniors, a program of Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers (http://www.ivcswpa.org), which is now part of Family Services of Western Pennsylvania, will teach you how to do home safety checks.  Then GLENDA volunteers along with other community volunteers will split up into pairs to do 2 home safety checks each.

On Saturday, January 26, please meet at 11 AM at 6401 Penn Ave, 2nd Floor.  You will be finished between 3 and 3:30 PM.

The building is at the opposite side of the plaza from Trader Joe's (so you can shop for nutritious goodies afterward!).  The entrance is next to "Hair Master," and the address "6401" is above the door which also has a "Family Services of Western PA" sign next to it.

There will be an optional breakfast beforehand if people are interested.  Let me know where you would want to go - maybe the Shadyside Coffee Tree Roasters?

Please respond with a YES or MAYBE to socialworker05@gmail.com.

Thanks,

Elyse Heyman
