When:   Saturday, February 9th 10am - Noon Where: Global Links Headquarters 4809 Penn Avenue, #2 Pittsburgh, PA 15224 Please REPLY if you are a “YES” or a “MAYBE” for this project by January 30th. It’s time for GLENDA to help Global Links once again!  Global Links’ main mission is to repackage unusable, but brand-new, medical supplies and to ship them to other countries where they can be used to help hospitals and clinics serving those in need.  We will be helping them on Saturday, February 9th, from 10 AM – Noon. The project will be at Global Links’ headquarters which is at 4809 Penn Ave, 2nd Floor, in Bloomfield/Garfield (Pittsburgh 15224).  Information about the volunteer program including requirements for all groups’ volunteers and directions to the sorting center on Penn Avenue can be found online: http://www.globallinks.org/where_we_work/pittsburgh/  http://www.globallinks.org/contact/directions/ The minimum volunteer age is 14 and those under 18 years must volunteer with a parent or bring a special waiver signed by a parent.  (Waivers can be downloaded at: http://www.globallinks.org/where_we_work/pittsburgh/volunteer/volunteer_forms.php We can accommodate 4-12 people maximum at one time, so sign up fast!   Volunteers are asked to wear long pants and closed toe shoes (no sandals or flip flops) when working.  Wear clothing that you don't mind getting dusty or dirty! I also would like to arrange a breakfast beforehand so that all of our volunteers can get to know each other better.  If you’re interested, please indicate that in your reply and I’ll pick a place once I have an idea of attendance.
