Coordinate a Project
In addition to volunteering at projects, you can also help by leading a GLENDA team at a project. Project coordinators serve as the liaison between the Community Service Organization for which we are volunteering and the GLENDA volunteers. Responsibilities include sending e-mail notifications of the upcoming project to the GLENDA e-mail distribution list, keeping track of who volunteers, and making sure the volunteers know where to go and what to do on the day itself. The Events Committee has a written checklist of each of the tasks and pairs first time Project Coordinators with a mentor to make sure the Project Coordinator knows exactly what to do.
